General question: How long does it take to realize your roommate is actually getting married, moving out, and no will longer living with you?
You would think that being in the wedding would help, but not so far…

I love my little 4 year old patients, but girls especially. I love making the hospital a better place to be for them and making things less scary. I might make them cry sometimes, but I make them feel better afterwards. It’s so fun when the grouchy girl with an attitude from the morning won’t let you leave before the end of the day without giving her a hug. I adore hearing a little girl exclaim “Nurse Laura, you’re back!” and proudly present a picture she colored for me. Their logic, how they tell stories, how inquisitive they are (what are you doing? why? oh. what are you doing now? why?)
I’m thankful to be working with these awesome little patients :)
I find it odd that something so beautiful as a warm summer evening can remind you of just how lonely you are…

My heart is burdened for the many people around me who are depressed. Not just sad. Utterly depressed and broken. We are a broken race. How I long for the day of restoration.
I saw a spider on the carpet near the couch where I’m sitting. I turned away for a minute and now he’s gone! I must admit that I’m a bit anxious right now…
